A popular destination, North Puntarenas has much to offer tourists with its beautiful and varied landscape. In the north of the province sits the enigmatic Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, while to the south, you while find the beautiful and frequented Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio. The surf hotspots of Mal Pais and Santa Theresa lie on the Nicoya Peninsula, while the famous beach town of Jaco sits along the Central Pacific Coast. With plenty of beaches and activities to enjoy, North Puntarenas is the place to head for to have some fun.

After a tiring day out and about, there is nothing better than a spa treatment to calm yourself down and in North Puntarenas, there are plenty of spas available to help you do just that. You have a choice of day spas and resort spas, both of which offer you the weary tourist, a great way to rejuvenate your body and mind. Day spas are ideal for a short quick spa treatment as you are on the go traveling from one place to the next; while resort spas are meant for those who want to spoil and pamper themselves their entire vacation.

In North Puntarenas, spas are found at many of the major hotels located along the Central Pacific Coast between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Most of these hotels also offer plenty of recreational facilities such as tennis, horseback riding, and a variety of water sports. There is a wonderful hotel and spa in the Dominical area as well, the Cuna del Angel Hotel. On the Nicoya Peninsula, there are a few hotels and resorts with spas as well. You can find them in the Mal Pais and Santa Theresa area as well as at Tambor. Up north in Monteverde, you can enjoy the Hotel Montana Monteverde, which also has a spa.

In the Manuel Antonio area, there are quite a few day spas to relax and unwind. Providing couple massages as well as individual massages, body scrubs and treatments for sunburn, these spas are a wonderful experience. The Sea Glass Spa in Manuel Antonio is a great day spa to spend an afternoon indulging yourself.
