Find a Golf Resort in North Puntarenas

With plenty of visitor attractions all over the place, North Puntarenas is a tourist hotspot. Here you can go surfing here off the beaches of Mal Pais, Playa Santa Theresa, Dominical or Jaco, visit the ever popular Manuel Antonio National Park and Parque Nacional Carara, or if you like just head down to any of the numerous beaches found along the Central Pacific Coast to chill out and relax.

Great places to stay at, these resorts not only give you the chance to unwind amid some of the most beautiful surroundings with your favorite game, but also let you enjoy a plethora of other activities as well. Offering first-rate services and amenities, the golf resorts of North Puntarenas are a wonderful way to have some fun.

The best golf resort in this region has to be the Marriott Los Sueños Beach and Golf Resort. Located in Playa Herradura, the La Iguana Golf Course at the Marriott has 18 holes with a par of 72. Spread out over 6,707 yards, this course was designed by Ted Robinson Jr., with one of its most unique aspects being that it is border by the Pacific Ocean on one side and a forest on the other. Inhabited by a wealth of animals, this forest is so close to the course that it is not uncommon to spot a Howler Monkey as you tee off. An ecologically friendly place to play at, some other animals you can spot here include iguanas, toucans and coatimundis.

If you are in the Tambor area, there are two golf resorts to keep you pretty busy while you are there. The Los Delfines public course is a great place to sharpen up on your short game. Sitting right next to the Barceló Tambor Resort, this 9-hole course makes for an intriguing contest. The standard green fees here are US$ 20 for nine players with US$ 30 each for unlimited play. Rental golf carts are also available here.

Another golf resort in Tambor definitely worth visiting has to be the Tango Mar Hotel Beach and Golf Resort. A 9-hole course with a US$ 25 green fee, the Tango Mar course can test the best on their putting. Located in a gorgeous part of the country, this resort has a number of superb facilities and amenities that you can avail if you stay here.
