Find Car Rental Agencies in Guanacaste
One of Costa Rica’s bigger provinces with plenty of tourist attractions, Guanacaste is a first-class travel destination. Perfect for those who want a beach vacation, the province of Guanacaste offers a plethora of waterports to enjoy along with some of the
best surfing in Costa Rica
. The beaches here are stunning and the weather here is great, making it a wonderful escape whether you are alone or with your family. There are a number of car rental agencies in
Guanacaste mainly because this province is home to Costa Rica’s second international airport. Situated in Liberia, the Daniel Oduber International Airport
serves a number of global and key US carriers such as Delta, British Airways, American Airlines and KLM. Many car rental companies have their offices located in Liberia or at the airport so that tourists can easily pick up or rent cars on the spot.
Renting as car is a great way to
get around Guanacaste
because there is much to see out here. If you like, you can take your rental car and head north to the
Parque Nacional Santa Rosa or Santa Rosa National Park
, the
Rincon de la Vieja National Park
and the Guanacaste National Park, or simply just hang out on the many
beaches
found along the coast. A rental car is also important if you wish to get around with a fixed schedule in mind, as the buses here are few and far between.
The roads in Guanacaste are in pretty good condition, except towards the southern end of the
Nicoya Peninsula
, where they tend to be just dirt tracks. There are a few car rental companies also found in the
Tamarindo
area as well as on
Playa Flamingo
,
Playa Carrillo
,
Playa Nosara
, and in the beautiful
Papagayo Gulf or Golfo de Papagayo
. A fabulous region to tour by car, renting a vehicle also means that you can avoid the more touristy beaches in favor of a more secluded retreat.
Many car rental companies tend to deliver rental cars directly to your hotel free of cost. Make sure you carefully inspect the vehicle for any prior dents and scratches before the keys are handed over to you. Also carefully read the rental agreement before you sign it.
If you are touring Guanacaste during the rainy season please be careful while driving here as the roads tend to get quite bad and pot holes develop.
