This is a really nice hotel!! Great rooms and beautiful grounds. It's set back in a quieter scenic area a short walk from the beach, which makes for a nice escape from the Pastor Diaz area where all the bars and shops are. The hotel also has a spa, a pool, and an outdoor thatch-roof restaurant with excellent fresh food. The mahi mahi in particular - the best meal I had in Jaco.

The staff was very polite and helpful as well. I was there for a week, and I went on day trips to Tortuga Island and the Carara rainforest, and also took a $6 cab ride to Herradura where the biggest waves are. There's a lot to do around Jaco. I plan to go back and stay at Doce Lunas again to see Manuel Antonio Park, maybe do some fishing and ATV up in the mountains and see a volcano. But the rest of the time, this is a great, secluded place to relax.

I could have stayed at villa caletas or los suenos, but I chose Docelunas instead. It was the perfect choice. After visiting the other two places while I was here I was glad I chose this hideaway in the valley. I will recommend it to everyone!
