Hey guys... I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Costa Rica. This was our third time staying at The Beija Flor Resort and I can tell you this place is awesome and not to expensive either... like about 80 bucks a night and they even have some rooms that are less! Or you can get your own house for like a hundred and something. And its cool because its a boutique style hotel. We've always had a great time staying there. For sure my girlfriend and I will be back every year for our annual trip to Costa Rica :)
Some things important to me when I'm gonna travel are... A location close to the beach. Air conditioned rooms. A Swimming Pool. A Spa with massages... awesome after surfing... tip,(Ask for Elisa or Tracy) A Restaurant with great local food. A cool yoga space. A Relaxed atmosphere. Clean rooms with Maid service. Very comfortable beds Good prices. And pleasant people working there.
This place has got it all.
The only thing I would like to complain about is that I wish they would post the recipes for the amazing fruit smoothies they make at the resaurant :) Julio... can you email me some ?
They always help me plan my trip before hand like flights, taxis, airport shuttle and for tours the Cabo Blanco nature refuge, horse back riding, surfing lessons and other cool adventures because we always like to do new stuff like that when were in Costa Rica. Our friends are planning a yoga retreat with the beija Flor Resort in 2011. They are gonna do like a package or something. The hotel has a Huge Yoga Deck with a cool thatched roof and lights and music ... it was awesome to practice there in the mornings. wanna check it out? Emailmetoday@rocketmail.com
So over all it's a super cool place to stay and I had a great time. I give them 5 stars *****

My family and me had a great time staying at this hotel. We were treated like friends and very special guests at the same time. There are no complaints whatsoever, the kids were happy playing at the pool and drinking "batidos" and my husband and me enjoyed especially the great food at the restaurant and the nice private patios to sit outside and enjoy some wine while listening to the howler monkeys. Thank you very much for the experience of true vacation time!

I have been going to Mal pais for the past 8 years with my girlfriend and my surf boddy's. I used to stay in Santa Teresra, but no more, Mal Pais is way more tranquile and beautifull. ever since I stayed at the Beija Flor Resort I'm hooked, all the rooms are A/C, new, good beds, open air showers, beautifull pool lounge, chill out music all day and for sure the BEST RESTAURANT in the area, must ceck it out. Also ask the manager about secret surf spots and the secret beach, PURA VIDA
