I was greeted by the owners, Pat & Brad....they were a variety of friend and professional Inn owners and provided a fabulous experience. The Inn is on a beautiful one acre lot with charm and a peacefulness that was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was made to order and delicious, the swimming pool warm and clean.

I travelled there solo, and female in a country where I know little of.My stay there was restful, refreshing and would return in a moment. Rita and Frank are very welcoming hosts and went out their way to make my stay the best. I loved the resort as it was clean ,safe, and quiet and secure. Can't wait to return again real soon - check this place out -you will not be sorry.

Warm weather and even warmer hospitality!
Very nice country setting, great access to airport, half way to the Pacific.
Rooms was nice with ensuite washroom and we loved the common areas with the unique indoor-outdoor setting...Pool area felt especially private.
Overall great value, especially with the 6 star breakfast!
Thank you Rita and Frank! We will be back : )

My wife and I stayed with Frank and Rita at the Orchid Tree and would recommend it highly. Every aspect of the trip was great and they were a tremendous help to us on our first visit to Costa Rica. The Orchid Tree is an easy drive from the San Jose airport and we stayed there the first night of our trip and the last two nights. There was plenty to do in the area and within a short drive. Frank and Rita were very helpful with information about local places to eat, shop and see, and went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful time.
The Orchid Tree is a beautiful property and perfect for relaxing after a day of being busy. The beautiful landscaping and loaded fruit trees were great and a perfect setting for lots of birds. The pool was very nice as well as the open air living room and dining area. Rita makes the best breakfast we had in Costa Rica and goes out of her way to ensure you enjoy it. An awesome way to start the day!
We will definitely come back to Costa Rica and we would love to stay at the Orchid Tree with Frank and Rita again.

A great way to explore the west end of the Central Valley and still be close to the airport was to stay at The Orchid Inn in Atenas. The owners Frank and Rita were great company and freely shared their experiences in Costa Rica and elsewhere. They provide a great breakfast and peaceful retreat and are only 30 minutes from the airport and an hour and a half to the beaches. I would stay there again.

Very nice, hospital, safe in combination with good service. Nice, clean rooms and a very romantic garden. Good swimmingpool, very good breakfast.
Everything was allright, a very warm welcome for the first days at Costa Rica and a good last night there.
The advise for a local restaurant was a golden tip!! We've been there two times, really surprising goof food on a great spot.
Rita and Frank know how to let you feel at home.

My husband and I stayed at the Orchid Tree for four nights in late January. We were immediatly happy with our choice. The property is very private and the indoor-outdoor living can't be beat. Coming form Toronto it was like entering paradise. The pool area is lovely the living room and dining room area is tastefull and comfortable even though you are right in the open. It is located in an authenic area of the country and convient to many attractions. It is well on the way to the pacific coast but we were also able to sample many local attraction, some firmly on the toursit map (like Poas volcanoe) and others know mostly to locales (Chorros waterfalls). To top it off the owners are great and so are the breakfasts!
