El Cafetal Hotel is the most relaxing place in Costa Rica. At just 20 minutes from Juan Santamaria International Airport in Costa Rica. It is a quiet hotel in a coffee farm in Atenas, Costa Rica. National Geographic has called Atens as the place with the best climate in the world. The hotel is a spectacular two-story house with rounded, glass alcoves overlooking coffee fields overlooking the cities of Alajuela and part of Heredia, as well as the three volcanoes: Poás, Barva and Irazu. May sit and relax in one of the many outdoor patios or balconies hotel overlooking Costa Rica's Central Valley, with stunning mountain views, green river canyon and rich coffee plantations. Wherever you find yourself be charmed by this peaceful tropical surroundings and the relaxing sound of the nature of Costa Rica. Sometimes you will see a group of birds, or hear the call of the howler monkeys as they feed in the trees right outside the hotel. They can be seen from the windows and you can hear the gentle sound of the rivers of Costa Rica.

We arrived very late because our plane was late and we had to get a rental car. By the time we got to the El Cafetal, Mr. A told us that the guy who was supposed to take us to the house we rented had left. So we had to stay at one of their tiny bedrooms (there were 3 of us)the sheets didn't smell clean. The next day, we had to wait a long time for someone to come and take us to the house where we were supposed to stay at. When we got to the house, we discovered there was no hot water. The house was very beautiful and clean but no hot water to bathe in. So we moved into the El Cafetal Inn for the rest of our vacation, they placed us in a nicer room, but still small, and there was a major leak in the living area. Otherwise I think it is a beautiful place, it's just not maintained properly.
