Colinas del Sol is a beautiful place located on the best climate of Costa Rica.Colinas del Sol was founded in 1997 by 4 Germans who fell in our country. They build 8 cabins for national and international tourism.

Welcome to Hotel Colinas del Sol

Hotel Colinas del Sol is frequently visited by both Costa Rican and foreign tourism, especially by Canadians who travel yearly in groups to stay some weeks in this awesome paradise. The hotel also experiences the yearly visits of some groups from prestigious universities around the world.

Hotel Colinas del Sol has a 4-star category and it is the only one in the area with Certification of Tourist Sustainability awarded by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute.

Colinas del Sol is surrounded by nature, featuring a tropical flora and fauna, there are many native trees in the area. Constantly the hotel is visited by lizards, butterflies, hummingbirds, motmots and grouses, among others. The orioles are in constant search for our beautiful palm trees in order to build their nests during summer time.

Although we are only a few minutes from downtown Atenas, about 1 km, our location allows direct contact with nature in an atmosphere of tranquility and peace. We are also located 26 kms away from Juan Santamaría International Airport and approximately 68 kms from the nearest beaches of the central pacific
