The Hotel Europa is located in the heart of San Jose, close to National Theater, next to the Plaza de la Cultura, shops and many nearby attractions. Hotel Europa has comfortable rooms all have air conditioning, high definition televisions, and wireless internet, safe box and private telephones. Hotel Europa was built in 1911 as one of the oldest hotels in San Jose. If you just want to know San Jose in a different way, do not miss the Hotel Europa and all the attractions that the hotel offers. The main complaint we have is that this hotel falsely advertised itself as being pet-friendly when it is NOT!! We came all the way from the United States with our small dog and Hotel Europa said they did not allow pets and forced us to find another hotel. They said we could not check in with our dog EVEN THOUGH their website clearly says they are pet-friendly and they told us when booking reservations that they allowed pets. THEY DO NOT ALLOW PETS.
