Hotel Café Playa Negra is a small bed and breakfast with personalized attention. The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the beach of Playa Negra, a very good surf break known worldwide.

The Hotel and Café have a rustic and cozy atmosphere with an artistic flair. Central American Art and fabrics enhance each sunlit room. All six rooms with high speed wi-fi connection, A/C and large ceiling fans, built in storage shelves, and offer a variety of sleeping arrangements. Also offers a 2 section patio with padded sofas and ample shade is just outside the rooms, providing a relaxing space for enjoying a book, a refreshing drink or an ice cold beer by our Pool, perfect to cool down after a day at the beach.

Café Playa Negra is open from 7 am to 9 pm daily serving Peruvian and international food in a relaxed setting, with a big screen where we project surf and sport videos. The best and biggest breakfast is waiting for you. Specialty desserts are prepared daily in the restaurant. Fridays, in addition to the regular menu, enjoy Japanese selections prepared with freshly caught yellow fin tuna. Wednesdays are Mexican specials and on weekends,a couple of sublime Peruvian surprises are prepared. The hotel also offers catering services for your vacation rental or party. Credit cards are accepted.

We built the hotel and restaurant with our own hands, and added a special touch by picking up rocks, seashells, wood, and plants from various beaches of Costa Rica. We also decorated it with arts and crafts from other countries in Central and South America, and it can be best described as a rustic and cozy setting with an artistic touch wherever you look.

Our six rooms have high ceilings, fans, and large windows that make them airy and well lit. They all have wifi, A/C, a private bathroom, hot water, and mini fridge.

-ROOM 1 and ROOM 4: have 1 queen bed
-ROOM 3 and ROOM 6: have 1 queen bed and one bunk bed
-ROOM 2: has 2 bunk beds
-ROOM 5: has 1 bunk and 1 single.

We also have 3 cabinas with kitchenette, fully equiped and with A/C.
Two of the cabinas have 1 queen bed and in the living room 2 single small beds (for kids). The 3rd cabina has 3 single beds.

Outside the rooms there is a large terrace with comfy couches; a place where you could relax, read, connect to the internet via Wi-Fi, or enjoy an ice cold drink or maybe you'd rather go chill at the swimming pool?
