Have you ever slept in a treehouse before? On the edge of the Osa peninsula lies the Lookout Inn Lodge, a resort perfect for an adventurer. Each cabina is built among the trees with great views of Corcovado national park. This secluded paradise combines exploration with relaxation.

Push past vacation expectations and enjoy nature in a new, environmentally-friendly way. This resort has a small carbon-footprint and tries to create an immersive experience that doesn’t hurt the nature around it. If you are looking for a vacation that is different and adventurous, this may be the perfect place for you to discover.

Each room has a unique look and location in the resort. Most are tiki-hut structures with open-air windows, while a few are private bungalows or traditional rooms. With 11 room accommodations, you can decide which interests you the most. Built above the ground, each cabina has a great view of the ocean and the rainforest.

Although the Lookout Inn Lodge tries to stay off the grid, there are charging stations in the main lodge for all your electronic needs. Free Wi-Fi is available, as well. Each cabin has a fan to keep the room at the perfect temperature. No need to worry about overly-cool nights, the weather in Carate is warm and tropical.

The lodge is the perfect viewing spot for the beach. The structure overlooks a black sand beach that is completely unspoiled by buildings or tourist shops. This beautiful scenery seems almost magical.

A friendly staff adds even more charm. The staff at this resort welcomes all visitors and appreciates diversity. They can supply you with housekeeping needs, tours, and tasty food. All meals are homemade and grown from the garden. You can enjoy the native food that is made straight from the lodge.

Along with the relaxing atmosphere, this resort can create a sense of seclusion that only adds to the beauty of the vacation spot. Nestled on the side of a gorgeous mountain, you can take a break from civilization and busy streets. If you are looking for a place to relax and explore, the Lookout Inn Lodge is a great option.

"We have stayed at the Lookout Inn three times and this year we will have a great pleasure of being there at Christmas. It is the friendliest, most wonderful place we have ever stayed and the owners Terry and Katya make us feel like members of the family. All of the animals, birds etc that you might see in the big park, you can see on the grounds of the Lookout Inn. It really is our home away from home and we are always sad to leave."
