Posada Mimosa, at only 20 minutes west from the International Juan Santamaria Airport, is situated on 17 acres of jungle, river, very near sugar cane and coffee fields with a spectacular view over the central valley of San Jose. Posada Mimosa is conveniently located near the lovely town of Grecia. It is only five minutes from the Inter-American Highway, 40 minutes from San José and 90 minutes from the closest Pacific beaches.

Cities like Sarchí, Zarcero, or Irazú and Poás volcanoes, national parks and many other interesting places are within easy driving distance. Posada Mimosa is 750 meters above sea level. The climate is ideal. The nights are cool enough to need a blanket. There is no need to have air conditioning or heating year round.

Many of the guests have suggested that the location is ideal for three or six days' relaxation or day trips before embarking on more strenuous pursuits. The Posada clientele is mostly adults with a genuine interest in and respect for Costa Rica's natural diversity. Families are Welcome!

Bed & Breakfast Rooms
We have four rooms in a separate wing of the main house - 1 twin, 1 Queen, 1 Double, 1 Suite (sleeps 4,refrigerator, coffee maker,toaster oven).
All rooms have private bathrooms. Suitable for one to three nights stays.
Free breakfast included.

Family Cabin
Has three bedrooms, two with two single beds and one with a queen bed, full kitchenette, two bathrooms,living/eating areas,washing machine, large porch. Available for daily,weekly monthly stays. Fully furnished,cable and satellite tv, free high speed internet and WiFi available.

Small Efficiency Cabin
Is very private with a spectacular view. Has one bed-sitting room, kitchen facilities, full bath, covered porch fully furnished.Suitable for one or two people for daily, weekly stays. High speed internet and WiFi available.

Meals:
Breakfast (consisting of delicious homegrown fruits, cereals, homemade breads, and gallo pinto), is included in our Bed & Breakfast room rates. Breakfast is not included in our suites or cabins. We also have a convenient take out restaurant nearby offering a selection of pizzas and typical Costa Rican dishes. You can buy groceries and drinks at a pulperia (local store) just five minutes away in our village of Rincon de Salas. Restaurants are within 15 minutes driving distance in any direction. Meals can also be delivered from take out restaurants.
