Mar de luz Hotel is an oasis of peace in the heart of Jaco Beach Resort. The hotel has a great location at only 150 meters of pristine beaches surrounded by rain forests. This is one of the few hotels in Jaco Costa Rica, where you can live the Pura Vida style. Children are welcome and the hotel has good sized rooms, friendly service and a full program of activities, allowing families to really enjoy your holiday. Mar de luz Hotel is administrated by the owner of Dutch nationality, Victor Keulen, who found a beautiful place and created with love, creativity and knowledge this original hotel in full contact with Mother Nature. The Hotel is the only project in the area with a conservation and monitoring program water use in the property (pools, rooms, kitchen, dining and garden areas).

Hotel Mar de Luz is just far enough off the main road to shield one from the tourist noise--maybe 50 kilometers-yet close enough to be in the middle of all of the activity in Jaco. Two excellent pools and a large covered patio make for a romantic evening, especially if there is a warm rain. Clean rooms with plenty of hot water, an outstanding staff fluent in English and Spanish makes this a most enjoyable experience. Remember, this is Costa Rica and there could be power outages which is not at all the fault of the owner. Highly recommend.
