Hotel Pochote Grande is a beachfront hotel located in Jaco. This beautiful hotel is surrounded by lush tropical gardens on the north end of town. There is a large swimming pool in the center of the property and directly in front of the beach. Relax at the pool with a drink or go explore the town, Hotel Pochote Grande is the perfect place to unwind. There is also an attached restaurant or if you like grab a bite to eat in town it is only a 15 minute walk to the main part of town.

From the time we stepped onto the property, we LOVED this facility. The staff was courteous, the rooms clean, ceiling fan worked well and air conditioning as well. The grounds were very well kept, and the 24-7 on-site guard made us feel so secure. As an American, I did miss my washcloth, but that is the "norm" here. The breakfasts were wonderful. Dinner was awesome!
We plan to go back. While around the bar during a heavy rain with other visitors from the States, a couple talked about how they always come to this place. When we checked out, the folks even gave me a hug and wished us well! We will definitely go back there!

We were looking for a quiet place to relax by the beach, and this was it. The service was great; the food was terrific; the room was sparkling clean with a great balcony to view the ocean and catch the ocean breeze; and our host (Manfreid)was wonderful. We had a vacation package that allowed us to choose between over 30 hotels. We spent half of our time here and wished we had found this place sooner on our trip. If you are looking for a wild night life, go some place else (or just go downtown and then come back). If we make it to Costa Rica again, this will be at the top of our list of places to stay.
