Coffee Lovers Tour

Specially designed for the die-hard coffee lover with a thirst for more knowledge and expert insights. This tour includes all the excitement of our CoffeeTour- Classic and a visit to our historic Tierra Madre coffee mill and organic coffee farm in beautiful San Rafael de Heredia.

This turn-of-the-century mill uses the "best practices" for sustainable coffee production and processing that are used and emulated today. Participate in a professional coffee tasting. Take a "sensory journey " to discover the flavors and aromas that distinguish coffees from Costa Rica's distinct growing regions — the differences will surprise and delight you!

Our expert, highly trained guide will lead the way, showing and explaining every step in the milling process, from receiving and skinning to fermentation and sun drying.

Don Prospero restaurant lays in a nudge of our coffee plantation surrounded by a herb garden and colorful tropical flowers. It is the ideal place to enjoy Costa Rica’s bounty of tropical produce present in delicious dishes created by our award winning chef Juan José Rodriguez.

Café Britt’s ample selection of coffee blends allows both the coffee beginners and connoisseurs to taste their favorites.
Our coffee bar is open continuously from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Sunday. It is not necessary to attend a coffee tour to visit, so come on in and enjoy with us an unforgettable cup of our “golden bean”.
