Arenal VolcanoLimon is a great place to live in if you enjoy nature and want to live close to the sea shore. While the northern end of the province is a protected area and home to the Parque Nacional Tortuguero and the Refugio Nacional Barra del Colorado, most of the people here live in the central and southern part of Limon. A majority of the population resides in the provincial capital of Puerto Limon and its adjoining areas; while many others live in the south, which is home to some of the most picture perfect beaches in the country.

What is so unique about living in Limon is the many different people you will find living here. This province is home to large numbers of Chinese Costa Ricans, while if you visit the town of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca you will see distinct Afro-Caribbean influences here, as most of the people are of West Indian decent. Further south you will find a number of indigenous Costa Rican communities at Bribri and Cocles.

Most people choose to live in the southern end of Limon as it provides them with great access to many wonderful beaches as well as a wealth of activities to enjoy. Puerto Viejo de Talamanca is a popular town for expats, who like the Caribbean culture found here. For some more quiet and tranquil properties head south to the beach paradise of Cahuita.

If you want to live in Limon, a good idea is to get in touch with a property realtor out here. These estate agents will be able to advise you more clearly in which piece of property to invest in, as well as make sure that you are getting a good deal. Since they know the area very well, they may also be able to get you the right piece of property for the right price.

Before choosing a property realtor in Limon, it is important to look around and consider your options. The internet is also a good resource in this regard. Look for property realtors with plenty of experience and make sure they have all the necessary credentials. Client references are also a good way of judging how easy and efficient your property realtor is, and whether or not you will able to work together as a team to secure the property/home you wish to buy.
