A popular tourist destination, what makes this province so special is that you can enjoy a variety of activities out here from scuba diving and surfing to snorkeling, horseback riding, wildlife watching, fishing, canopy touring, hiking and trekking. And with thousands of visitors coming here every year, Guanacaste province is fast growing to becoming Costa Rica’s premier hotspot to vacation in.

Getting to Guanacaste is also very easy as this province has its own international airport. The Daniel Oduber International Airport is located in Liberia and receives flights from all over the world, especially the US. Liberia is the provincial capital and is well connected to most parts of the province. In the northeast of Guanacaste, you can find three national parks, while along the western coast, a few nature reserves have been created as well. In the central plains, there are a number of cowboy towns.

If you are planning on staying in Guanacaste, you have a wealth of choices on where to stay. You can either settle along the seashore or in one of the many coastal towns, or if you prefer, you can stay close to the Area de Conservación Guanacaste, near the Cordillera de Guanacaste and Cordillera de Tilaran mountain ranges. When buying a home in Guanacaste, it is advisable to go through a property realtor as they can offer you a good selection of places to stay or rent. With a thorough knowledge of the area, they know where all the good bargains are.

When choosing a property realtor in Guanacaste, make sure you look around before you pick one. Also, ask for their client references and confirm whether they are certified or not. Make your decisions wisely and always inspect the property you are thinking of purchasing from the realtor. There are numerous property realtors in Tamarindo and around this area, as it is a key resort town on the coast. Liberia, Playa Flamingo, Playa Carrillo and Samara, also have some good property realtors to choose from.
