Tayutic: Hacienda Experience is located between beautiful gardens and breathtaking panoramic views of the valley in the village of Sitio Mata to Turrialba in the province of Cartago just an hour and forty-five minutes from the airport Juan Santa Maria (SJO) International, by road (twenty minutes by air, landing in a domestic airport from San Jose).
The haciendas privileged mountain location, offers stunning panoramic views of the valley. A more photogenic area would be hard to find: the magnificent 180° view is perfect for admiring the contrasting Costa Rican landscapes, including mountains, valleys, peaks and the stunning Turrialba and Irazu volcanoes.
You will delight in our family's Costa Rican new cuisine, wander among works of art and beautiful tropical forests, harmonizing the inner you with the age-old therapies of our natural spa. The Hacienda house and your comfortable rooms feature accurate historical details with all modern conveniences, of course. The main house of Hacienda Tayutic has five spacious and comfortable rooms, fully equipped with all the requirements of the host. All guest bedrooms have Wireless Internet, satellite television, telephone, coffee maker (with our own Hacienda brand of coffee, naturally) and large designer bathrooms unlike any others. Rooms have either one queen bed or two single beds.
While at Hacienda Tayutic, enjoy our beautiful English gardens, complete with hedge labyrinth, latticework pergola with flowering vines and reflecting pool, in which you will see mirrored the 120-year-old chapel of Sitio de Mata village-all combined in an eclectic Latin American way that gives it an original touch. Be our guest, relax and feel yourself part of the rich history of a family whose legacy can be traced back to the 18th century. As you bask in the comfort and warmth of our great room, admiring the valuable historical paintings, furniture and other artifacts that make up Hacienda Tayutic's unique ambience, you will know you are in a very special place.
Restaurant at Hacienda Tayutic
Gastronomically speaking, our Hacienda Tayutic is proverbial. We feature unique local cuisine. Doņa Eileen Victory, many years ago, decided to redesign typical Costa Rican meals to give them a true gourmet touch, without disguising them with faux Oriental flavors as so many others do. Give your palate a treat with the country's traditional dishes prepared in such unique ways that you will want to ask her for her recipes!
