Punta Leona Beach Endowed with a beautiful and lush coastline, Costa Rica offers tourists a spectacular getaway with gorgeous beaches, picturesque sunsets, stunning vistas and some of the most amazing biodiversity in the entire world. Fast becoming a major tourist destination, Costa Rica is ideal for those persons in search of the ultimate utopian vacation!

Living up to its name of the “rich coast”, Costa Rica is a fantastic cruise destination for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the world. With its unique remoteness and verdant forestation, this small country is full of friendly locals who welcome tourists with open arms and huge smiles. A perfect cruise destination if you are looking to tour the Caribbean, the Central Pacific or the entire region, Costa Rica has plenty of cruising options available to suit any kind of budget.

With San Jose less than a 100 miles from the Atlantic and Pacific coasts, reaching this capital city is less than a 3 hour drive away. The most cosmopolitan city in Latin America, San Jose is an exciting and vibrant place and an active business center. From here you can arrange an array of tours inland and take in the lush beauty that this country has to offer.

Explore the volcanoes, rainforests, cloud forests and beaches out here and catch a glimpse of the amazing wildlife found throughout the country as well. Experience the warmth and hospitality to the people (Ticos) and enjoy the rich heritage of this amazing country.

If you are on a Caribbean cruise, stopover at Puerto Limon with its vibrant Afro-Caribbean culture and exotic tropical beauty. A major seaport for trade and commerce, Puerto Limon is close to the Cahuita National Park, the Tortuguero National Park, the Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge and the colorful town of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca.

Considered to be among the most scenic regions in the entire country, a stopover here offers visitors a plethora of activities to engage themselves in like horseback tours, canopy tours, wildlife exploration and surfing. With its nearness to the United States, the Panama Canal and the Gulf of Mexico, this port is open to many cruise line companies from all over the world.

The important Pacific coast ports of Costa Rica are Puntarenas and Caldera. Most people who travel to San Jose usually enter the country via Puntarenas. Caldera is the main port of this region and is the busiest port in Costa Rica. From either of these two ports you can visit the lovely Manuel Antonio National Park, the biologically intense Corcovado National Park, or head on from here to the lovely Nicoya Peninsula, home to some the country’s best beaches.
