The capital of Costa Rica, San Jose is a cosmopolitan metropolis with much to offer. There are a number of Spanish language schools in San Jose, where you can learn to speak Spanish in a matter of days or weeks, depending on the course you choose. A great destination for a vacation, Costa Rica is now fast becoming a popular place in Central America where one can learn Spanish. Visit Costa Rica, learn Spanish, and from here you can tour the rest of this region of the world, without having to worry about the language barrier.

In San Jose, there a quite a few excellent Spanish language schools in and around the area. Most of these schools are relatively old and have been teaching Spanish professionally with great success. One way to see how good a school really is, is to ask for former and present student references and testimonials, as they give you an unbiased view of the quality of learning and the teachers here. San Pedro in San Jose has a number of places where you can learn Spanish. While some of these institutes offer other classes as well, others organize volunteer program placements.
