Brendan and Angie truly make their lodge a Land of Dreams. All the bungalows and the casita have been finished with a perfectionist's attention for detail. It's true, Tierra de Suenos has the most comfortable beds and soft towels I've ever used in any place I've stayed around the world (I've traveled extensively). Though not directly on the beach, Tierra de Suenos is set in a beautifully manicured piece of the thick Costa Rican jungle. The birds and other animals make up for the short 2-minute walk to the beach! It's just down a path! Greatest place on earth, for anyone.

Not sure exactly where the other reviewers went but when I was at Tierra de Suenos it wasn't finished. Sure the beds were nice but it was muggy and the ceiling fan didn't work to move air. The beach isn't right across the street either, you have to walk down the road - hoping a dump truck doesn't run over you - then down a path next to a drainage ditch and then to the beach. Yes, the beach is pretty and secluded. But Tierra de Suenos is NOT a resort as indicated in their brochure.

Tierra de Suenos is an amazing bungalow-style hotel that is quite perfect in my opinion, and I have been all over Costa Rica! The hotel is perfectly situated a mile or so south of Puerto Viejo away from the crowds, but not too far so that the awesome nightlife is easily reached and you meet tons of fascinating people traveling back and forth from Puerto Viejo to other awesome cities a bit farther south and into Panama. What blew me away was the beach by this hotel, it was by far one of the best beaches I have ever been to. It is uncrowded, the water is a perfect blue, and the surfing is quite good even when compared to the West Coast such as Jaco. The staff is friendly and helpful, they knew everybody around town and always pointed me in the right direction and hooked me up with the best of whats around. You will see for yourself how amazing this hotel is, it is perfect for relaxing and getting into the jungle a bit, the landscaping is quite amazing; given it is a rainforest! By far one of my favorite trips was staying here this year and I'll definitely be going back soon! Enjoy it.

I recently visited Costa Rica for the first time.. we had a wonderful trip and the best part was our stay at Tierra De Suenos. Really adorable bungalows tucked amongst beautiful jungle landscape and as promised they had the best bed I slept in during my stay in Costa Rica. Cindy, Jason and Natasha were wonderful hosts and the food was yummy. We visited Arenal and Manuel Antonio during our visit, but I have to say the beaches accross the street from Tierra De Suenos were some of the most beautiful and quiet I have ever seen. We can't wait to go back.

Tierra Del Sueno was BEAUTIFUL!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The family who owns the property were very helpful and gave great tips on where to eat in Viejo, what to do around Viejo...pretty much any questions you had about Viejo and the surrounding area, they gave great advise! You really got the "inside scoop". Everyone was so friendly and the place was simply gorgeous!
