As an ecolodge that strives to protect and sustain Costa Rica's natural resources, Chachagua Rain Forest Hotel features just 28 environmentally friendly rooms. Guests flock to the hotel to take in its uniquely beautiful scenery, as not only is it situated in the Chachagua Rainforest Reserve, but it is also near Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and the Arenal Volcano. Environmentally conscious tourists, naturalists and those who seek adventure will feel right at home when they stay at this hotel.
Guests can fuel up for the day or fill their hungry stomachs after exploring by visiting the hotel's on-site restaurant, Colibri Restaurant. Personalized service and home-cooked meals allow you to truly enjoy the experience as you dine on produce and other foods sourced from the hotel's own garden or from select farms in the area. Those with allergies or other special dietary requirements can alert the hotel when booking so that staff members do their best to accommodate all palates.
Would you like to socialize and have a drink after dinner? Calibri Bar & Lounge is the place to do so. The relaxing atmosphere features direct access to the hotel's pool area, and the bar itself offers both walk-up and table service. Float around with your favorite tropical drink or simply sit on one of the many comfortable sofas and get to know the hotel's other guests.
Guests who wish to get married or hold another event at Chachagua Rain Forest Hotel will enjoy the property's spacious meeting room. Easily decorated to fit your event, the space accommodates up to 40 people and is surrounded by natural springs and thriving gardens.
The hotel offers several on-site tours for hiking, bird watching and searching for frogs at night. Bird watching begins at 6:00 a.m. or 400 p.m. Search for frogs beginning at 6:00 p.m. to see the rainforest from a different perspective. There are also plenty of hiking trails that guests can travel alone. In addition to frogs and birds, there is the possibility of coming across sloths, monkeys and a range of other mammals. If you don't feel like walking, the 24-hour front desk offers information on renting bicycles, riding horses or even rowing or canoeing.

Deluxe bungalow suite at Chachagua Rainforest Eco Lodge
Chachagua Rain Forest Hotel understands that different guests have different needs, which is why it offers two types of bungalows in addition to its traditional hotel rooms.
Deluxe Bungalow Suites – The Deluxe Bungalow Suites are perfect for people who are looking for a truly relaxing experience. Their focal point includes a grand Jacuzzi tub atop its own wooden platform in the bathroom, which also features a rain shower. Large windows allow you to take in the signs and sounds of the rainforest. A covered deck features a bar and seating area complete with hammock and creates the perfect space to relax after a long day of exploring nearby La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano. The king bed with luxury mattress allows you to unwind in front of the television, which includes both USA and European stations, and free wireless internet provides you with the chance to connect with people back home. The staff even stocks the mini-bar according to your personal preferences. Other amenities include free sleepers, free breakfast and room service. Children up to five years old stay free with two adults, and pets are welcome in this room.
Rainforest Bungalows - The Rainforest Bungalows offer most of the same amenities as their larger counterparts but are a bit more affordable for those on a budget. Perfect for couples, families or small groups of friends, these bungalows feature up to two beds. The large deck features a rocking chair and a hammock that are just the right place to nap and take in the sounds of the wildlife that surrounds the hotel. Relax under the rain shower in your private bathroom, and then use the mini-bar to create the perfect Costa Rica-inspired drink. Free Wi-Fi, room service and breakfast are available for each guest. Children up to five years of age stay free with their parents.
Jungle Room - The Jungle Room accommodates guests on a budget or those who simply prefer a smaller space. These gorgeous rooms offer a private veranda with large and comfortable chairs for relaxing while you sip a drink, read a book or simply take in the sights. Each room features either one king bed or two queen beds and provides enough space for up to four guests. A rain shower in the bathroom offers the ultimate in relaxation after a long day of exploring. Free wireless internet and air conditioning are standard. Room service and breakfast are available each day. Children up to age five stay free with their parents.
Hiking Tours - Spend an entire day checking out local beauties like Arenal Volcano, La Fortuna Waterfall and the Hanging Bridges. Take breaks throughout the day to swim, have lunch and simply relax and take in the scenery around you.
Sloth Sighting - Tour Arenal and La Fortuna to search for sloths and find excellent photo opportunities. You may also encounter toucans, dart frogs and other Costa Rica natives.
Taste Local Chocolate - You can't visit Costa Rica without having authentic Costa Rican chocolate. This tour takes you through a farm that grows, processes and produces your favorite treats before giving you a delicious sample or two.
