Administrated by a Costarican family Punta Marenco Lodge is located 20 minutes by boat from Drake Bay in the beautiful and unique Peínsula de Osa, south pacific coast of Costa Rica. Their bungalows are located in a little hill very close to the beach. The Lodge is part of the Punta Rio Claro National Wild Life Refuge, with miles of pristine beaches and tropical rain forests to explore near the Corcovado National Park.

The Lodge offers many activities due to it location, such as : Snorkeling, Horseback riding, Guided nature tours to Caño Island, Corcovado National Park, inside Punta Rio Claro Wildlife National Refuge, Bird and wildlife watching and more.

Each Bungalow at Punta Marenco Lodge are built in harmony with its surrounding, due to the location of our lodge, we do not have access to electricity, we have a generator that starts working at sun set and normally is turn off around 10 pm, that's why the cabins have big windows with screens to let the ocean breeze cool you up.

Our bungalows and rooms have private porches and bathrooms, with a breathtaking view of the ocean. Family style meals are served in our open air restaurant were you can enjoy watching the sunset.

Punta Rio Claro Wildlife Refuge is surrounded by a primary tropical rain forest and we have private trails which can be use by our guests to walk alone our with one of our naturalist guides. Due to our legal enviromental protection status and the fact that our Refuge works as a natural path from other protected areas of the osa peninsula is the perfect place to have a close experience with nature.

Even form the comodity of your cabin deck you will be able to see dozens of diferent birds species, wich some of them only can be seen in this area. The variety of trees, plants species give a special place for diferent animals souch as mammals, insects, reptiles, amphibians, birds to have a special feeding place that become their home. This means that not even moving form your cabin you will have a wonderful and unique experience.

In the whale migration season wich goes from december through march for the humpback whales from the north (Mexico, California) and from July though october from the south (from Peru), you will be able to either take a whale and dolphin watching tour or just as easy to watch them from the restaurant or from the commodity of your cabin.
