If you are a nature enthusiast, as I am, you will enjoy Selva Verde Lodge. Located in the rain forest it has many trails to hike a variety of birds, mammals and reptiles comfortable lodging beautiful surroundings and the friendliest staff you want to encounter. What a thrill to wake up to the howler monkey calls and to see the tiny blue jeans frog. I wish I had more time to spend at the lodge (perhaps next time). Wear those boots - they are a godsend!!!

This is a great hotel.. for some people that is! I did not personally like it because it seemed a little bit primitive with the paper thin walls and screened windows and no a/c... some people enjoy that but I'm just not one of those people! It wasn't necessarily a bad experience, but I'd just rather have stayed at a hotel.. not a lodge!
