Costa Rica Sky Adventures is a tourism pioneering company in Costa Rica that offers high quality and sustainable adventure tours. We offer the following tours at our Arenal location: Sky Tram, Sky Trek, and Butterfly Gardens. Get a bird's eye view of rainforest with magnificent view of Arenal Lake and Volcano.
On Sky Tram's cableway, you can have a different perspective of the Arenal volcano and lake, joined by an expert Costa Rican guide. The Sky tram leads you to a wide observation platform where you have breathtaking views of rainforest, Arenal Lake, and Arenal Volcano.
The Sky Trek tour includes 8 cross-sectional cables that together have a total length of 2.8 Km. with a distance from 30 to 750 meters, and a maximum height of 200 meters. Enjoy views of Arenal Lake and Volcano and surrounding scenery as you zip-line above the canopy.
Children and adults can enjoy the Butterfly Garden - a friendly place to learn about the life cycle of butterflies, their feeding, and their habits.
We are proudly ecological flag certified. The Ecological flag, is the annual certification that will emit the National Ministry of Environment and Energy (MINAE), to private companies and public institutions or companies, whose actions benefit the environment and which they tend to establish Systems of Environmental Management.

Tours with Costa Rica Sky Adventures - Arenal
Sky Tram
Sky Tram is a tour for all ages and even for people with some disability. Thanks to the space of the gondolas, we have the ability to fit a wheelchair inside - so that all people can enjoy the experience. The tour starts in the reception and reaches a wide observation deck at the highest point of the Arenal Reserve. From that vantage point, you can observe the rain forest, Arenal Volcano, and Arenal Lake. The journey in Sky Tram takes around 20 minutes with possible short stops supplemented with information from a naturalist guide. Once you have reached the observation deck, you can enjoy a walk through one of the trails with a duration of 30 minutes.

Austrian manufactured: “Doppelmayr” Gondolas.
Length: 1250 meters.
Six gondolas with a capacity of six people per gondola.
Eight support towers during the trail.
Capacity: 150 persons per hour.
Highest speed: 3 meters per second.
Maximum height: 46 meters over the treetops.
Duration of tour: 20 minutes one way (approximately) and round trip is 40 minutes (approximately).
Sky Trek
Sky Trek is a canopy zip-line tour which starts with a tour in the Sky Tram to reach the top of the Arenal reserve. Sky Trek tour is full of adventure and full of adrenaline as you fly above the treetops. The tour consists of a system of zip lines, that allows you to observe the rainforest and its landscape from a different perspective. Sky Trek allows you to get a bird's eye view of the rainforest on a safe and innovative system of cables. The tour includes 8 cross-sectional cables that together have a total length of 1.7 miles with distances from 100 to 2460 feet, and with a maximum height of 660 feet. The heighth of the cables exceeds the treetops, providing you a panoramic view of the Arenal Volcano and Arenal Lake.
General conditions for Sky Trek:
For their safety, children under 8 years old cannot take Sky Trek tour.
Sky Trek is a complimentary tour of Sky Tram; therefore, Sky Trek cannot be sold separately.
People over 100 kilograms weight (217 pounds) must be evaluated by our technical staff (according to his/her height, medical, and physical condition). Our staff will determine if it is safe for them to take Sky Trek tour.

Butterfly Garden
The Butterfly Garden is an educational tour. Children and adults can enjoy this friendly place and also learn about the life cycle of butterflies, their feeding, and their habits. In the garden, you can recognize species like heliconia, morpho, caligo, and monarch, as well as host plants and nectaries.
