Cano Island offers some of the best visibility in mainland Costa Rica as well as sharks, manta rays, turtles, eels and huge schools of fish.

I stayed at CR Adventure Divers Hotel, Jinetes de Osa and went diving with them too. I actually received my open water certification thru them in cooperartion with their Santa Ana Facility, Casa Alegre. They were very professional, patient and friendly. All the staff at the hotel in Jinetes and the Casa Alegre are genuinely concerned about your happiness and comfort.
I recommend Costa Rica Adventure Divers and their Drake Bay facilities to the adventurous traveler who enjoys the outdoors, great food and quality service. I do not recommend Drake Bay or any of its lodges for the traveler looking for white glove service, a mega resort type atmosphere or super luxurious accommodations. No lodges offer air condition, and some only offer electricity for limited hours in the evening.
