Riding on Horseback
Imagine riding on horseback through the Costa Rican forest and doing so in an area known for its riding trails. This ride takes around 45 minutes and you will be able to see native plants and flowers around the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano.
The volcano, the name meaning "The Old Woman's Corner", is the largest in Northwest Costa Rica. Take in the national flower, the orchid, and perhaps you will be able to view a variety of birds and monkeys that inhabit the area around the volcano.
Ziplining
Ziplining is an exciting way to experience your surroundings. Not only will you zipline from platform to platform through the jungle, but you will also walk across hanging bridges, climb up rocks, rappel and take your turn on Tarzan swings.
This fun course will take you over canyons and through the canopy of trees. You will experience the rush of ziplining down eight different cables, with one taking you over a fast-moving river.
White Water Tubing Down the River
Change out of your riding clothes and into your river tubing attire. This water adventure takes you for about a three mile ride along the Río Negro.
You will start at the bottom of the Victoria Waterfall and meander along the clear river, at times going through fun rapids. Guides will be along for the ride to make sure everyone stays safe.
Lunch
After all the activities you will have worked up an appetite. Lunch is served buffet-style and consists of a variety of entrees, side dishes, sweets, tea, coffee and fruit juices. There are also gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.
Mud Bath and Hot Springs
After a filling and delicious lunch, you will be taken to the Hot Springs located in a tropical forest. The waters are heated by the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, and there are ten different pools made up of crystal clear mineral waters.
For a spa-like experience, spread volcanic clay mud over your skin and allow it to dry. Wash it off with a shower made from the river water and then soak relaxingly in the hot springs.
