Relax at Hotel Villa Florencia
Relax at Hotel Villa Florencia

Enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Turrialba Valley from the friendly and comfortable Hotel Villa Florencia. The resort sits in a bucolic valley between sugarcane plantations and the active Turrialba volcano. Tropical gardens and mature trees provide a perfect backdrop for your Costa Rican escape. Quiet and laid back, this family-friendly hotel has all the amenities you need for a relaxing and memorable trip.

Huge trees greet you as you enter the grounds and head to the front lobby. Nestled in the forest and overlooking distant hills, the hotel incorporates nature into its decor and layout. The outdoor pool with hot tub is situated in a sunny spot at the bottom of a wide staircase built into a gently sloping hill and is beautifully lit at night.

Overstuffed couches and armchairs in the indoor-outdoor communal space are the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Shining hardwood floors and creative use of grey slate and natural stone help the grounds blend into the surrounding natural landscape. Grab a book and prepare for a nap in one of the hotel’s rope hammocks.

Much of the hotel is open-air, allowing the surrounding gardens to form walls and create spaces. Enjoy trails throughout the garden and an outdoor gym. Cool off after exploring or a workout in the inviting swimming pool, and soothe tired muscles in the Jacuzzi.

Villa Florencia has a boutique feel, and with only 11 rooms, guests receive personalized, intimate service. The friendly staff is available to help make your vacation unforgettable by booking tours and creating unique dining experiences. Rooms at the hotel have coffered ceilings, exposed beams and ample windows that create a light and airy feel. Some guest bathrooms have a sunken tub and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the jungle canopy. Others boast dramatic stone walls behind large soaking tubs. All rooms have an ample supply of crisp white linens.

Named for the sugarcane flower, Veroliz, the onsite restaurant, serves a variety of international dishes and can accommodate special dietary requests. The kitchen creates flavors using fresh local ingredients. A special kids menu designed by the owner’s daughter is sure to please tiny connoisseurs. Honeymooners can enjoy a personalized chef-created menu in a private garden. Hotel Villa Florencia also hosts weddings, corporate gatherings and other special events.
