Located in Nosara in the Nicoya Peninsula, Villa Mango B & B is the perfect spot to call home base for your Costa Rican vacation. With white sandy beaches just a stroll away from your room, you have the makings of a perfect tropical paradise right outside your door. It’s the kind of place where you can let your hair down and truly relax, thanks to is comfortable feel and homey vibe.

Anything you could want to see or do are convenient to this bed and breakfast, and the friendly multi-lingual staff are more than happy to assist you in arranging tours and activities. If you prefer, you can just relax and unwind on property, taking a swim in the salt-water pool or treating yourself to a massage in the open-air pavilion.

The seven rooms all feature private bathrooms offer either an ocean or jungle view. They are also air conditioning optional, which means if you prefer a stay that is as committed to environmental sustainability as is Costa Rica itself, you can find it at this ecofriendly inn. You can even participate in the Pack With a Purpose program, bringing much needed essentials from home to help the local community nearby.

Bordering the property is the Nosara Biological Reserve, so you won’t have to venture far off property to see local wildlife or indulge in birdwatching. Monkeys, coati, and tropical birds are frequently spotted from the terrace, so you may be able to enjoy your freshly prepared breakfast while meeting some of the local animal residents or make new friends with some of the other guests. Don’t worry, though; you can stay connected to your loved ones at home, courtesy of the free WIFI available throughout the property.

Start your day with a morning yoga class, take the family out for a horseback riding excursion, or just dip your toes in the water on the beaches of Pelada and Guiones as you take in the beautiful scenery. Villa Mango B & B features seven bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, an in-room safe, and beautiful local accents for a cozy feel with all the creature comforts you could want. A fresh breakfast is included for all guests during their stay.

Iguana – Sleeps up to four guests with two queen-sized beds and air conditioning optional, wall fans, and a private exit onto terrace below.

Lora – Two queen-sized beds to accommodate up to four guests, air conditioning optional, ocean view, and private exit to downstairs terrace.

Tortuga – Sleeps up to two guests with king-sized bed that can be made into two twins, ceiling fan, and gorgeous ocean view.

Rana – Accommodates up to four guests with one king-sized bed and a queen-sized day bed, ceiling fan, and ocean view.

Tucan – A queen-sized bed that sleeps two guests, jungle view, air conditioning optional, ceiling fan, and private terrace with hammock.

Activities

With the bed and breakfast’s prime location, the inn is close to many of the activities for which Costa Rica is known. On property, guests can relax by the salt-water pool or meet on the mat for morning yoga. Nearby are jungle trails for hiking and sandy beaches for watersports or working on your tan. The staff can also assist you with other activities:

Turtle nesting – Visit Ostional National Wildlife Refuge for the opportunity to see the nesting area of Olive Ridley turtles, which lay eggs throughout most of the year.

River Tour – Join nature guides through Nosara Biological Reserve for kayaking, birdwatching, hiking, and horseback riding along the rive to see the natural falls as well as native flora and fauna.

Stand-up paddle boarding – For a unique view of the beaches of the Nicoya Peninsula.

Ziplining – Canopy tours above the rainforest include up to 13 cables for a bird’s-eye view of the terrain.

Sportfishing – This area of the Pacific Ocean is a fisherman’s paradise, and you can charter a fishing boat to engage in this pastime.
