Bring a group of friends or get to know people from all over the world when you stay at Selina Tamarindo, a hotel and hostel. The whimsically designed property houses a pool, a restaurant and bar and much more.
Overview
Entrance to Selina Tamarindo
Selina Tamarindo is in gorgeous Tamarindo, a one-time fishing village that is now a favorite spot for surfers, foodies and nature lovers. The hotel and hostel, which is about 30 miles from Liberia International Airport, is just steps from boutiques, cafes, restaurants and nightlife.
The first thing guests notice when they arrive at Selina Tamarindo is the decor. There is nothing cookie-cutter about the mural-covered buildings. From bright blues to sunshine-inspired yellows, there is beautiful art no matter where heads turn. The whimsical style makes the perfect cheerful backdrop for relaxing and enjoying the property.
Many guests start their vacations at the hotel's swimming pool. During the day, the crisp blue water is perfect for a relaxing float or for swimming a few laps, and the nearby lounge chairs offer the best spot for sunbathing. In the evening, the lighted pool area transforms into an amazing spot to sit with a drink and get to know other guests under the stars. In fact, many of the property's social events take place right by the pool. For those who prefer the natural waters of the ocean, the property hosts a surf club that is great for finding the best waves and meeting a few new faces at the same time.
Yogis love Selina Tamarindo. Experienced teachers provide lessons and guided sessions throughout the day. Visitors can wake up and do a morning session by the beach, or those who prefer to sleep in can relax in their favorite poses while doing sunset yoga in the sand. Occasionally, the property also hosts events related to yoga, including a three-day yoga and Pilates package that is available each July.
The hostel features an open-air restaurant and a fully equipped kitchen. Guests can start their days with a breakfast buffet that includes traditional items, such as cereal or eggs, among Costa Rican favorites, including coffee. The open-air restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, or if guests prefer, they can use the kitchen to cook their own meals.
Selina Tamarindo offers a limited-hour front desk with a professional staff. Staff members can assist with the purchase of tickets or booking of tours for a variety of activities. Transportation is provided for most tours. Bicycle and vehicle rental is available as well. Luggage storage is available at the front desk. Televisions are provided in common areas.
