Kalapiti is a secluded resort with only two villas, making it the perfect honeymoon location. Even though it’s a small resort, it still has all the amenities of a major hotel, such as daily housekeeping, laundry service, free WiFi and breakfast, a rooftop terrace and pool bar. Each guestroom has a refrigerator, private bathroom and separate living. The resort also offers cribs and infant beds to accommodate families.

The outdoor pool is a luxurious experience, with two waterfalls that flow into the main pool. The patio and terraces blend into the environment. A water slide provides easy access from the upper terraces. A 6-person jacuzzi is also available for relaxation. At night, enjoy a light show in the pool that rotates through five different colors.

In addition to the on-site pool and jacuzzi, guests have the opportunity to use the Turkish steam bath, called a Hammam. Open your pores with humid heat from the volcanic rock heating furnace. Rub and massage the skin with pumice stones or natural-fiber gloves to exfoliate the cells. Then, rinse with either warm or cool water. Before exiting the hammam, rinse with cold water to complete the ritual. You can also enjoy a clay bath, using local clay from the grounds. Aloe Vera baths are also available at the resort to rejuvenate the skin.

Kalapiti offers gourmet food service, using produce from its organic garden. The kitchen maintains a wide selection of wines to go with your meal. Fresh bread is baked daily for guests. Local fish from Cabuya is marinated and smoke before being served with bread, olive oil and fresh arugula. The kitchen is also available for guests to use.

Yoga classes and massage services are available on-site. Staff offer tours and ticket assistance. Some of the most popular beaches in Costa Rica, such as Hermosa Beach, Santa Teresa Beach and Manzanillo Beach, are less than 15 miles from the resort. Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve is only 6.4 miles from the hotel. It’s a beautiful place to stay with easy access to local activities.
