The bottom floor also includes a dining area. Since the resort is located in a remote area of the forest, it offers a meal plan for guests to feast on meals that center on food grown and harvested on resort grounds.

All the rooms at the Macaw Lodge are on the second story, giving guests a beautiful view of the lush greenery below. Every lodging option includes private bathrooms, fully outfitted in locally-sourced luxury. The beds are covered by hand-woven bedspreads made by Maya individuals from the Guatemala Atitlan region.

The other linens and towels are made from bamboo fibers. Therapeutic mattresses on every bed ensure that you’ll sleep well during your visit. Even the bathrooms emphasize eco-friendly materials, with a solar water heater and locally mined marble. The lodge offers standard rooms, standard bungalows and a deluxe bungalow option. Whatever you choose, you will have a wonderful view of the green forestry surrounding the resort.

Standard Guest Rooms – These rooms are attached to the main building and overlook the gardens. Each is furnished with a double bed and a private bathroom. The screened windows keep bugs out while still letting in fresh, fragrant air. The rooms also have ceiling fans for extra ventilation.

Standard Bungalow – This option includes both a double bed and a single bed. It features a full bathroom with a shower, and a terrace furnished with rocking chairs where you can soak in the beautiful view while seated comfortably. Ceiling fans provide a refreshing breeze during warm tropical nights.

Deluxe Bungalow – The deluxe bungalow includes two queen beds, a ceiling fan, bathroom, and furnished terrace. It is the only rooming option available that features a full kitchen with a stove and solar powered refrigerator, letting you prepare and store your own food.
