If you want to experience the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica without emptying your wallet, Hotel Pasatiempo may be just the right place for your trip. The hotel offers the right combination of affordable prices and upscale amenities to Tamarindo vacationers. Guests are constantly impressed by the hotel's incredible facilities, modern décor and hidden-away location. Visitors also love the quiet atmosphere, the beautiful landscaping and the complete dedication the staff has to customer service.

This hotel is mere steps from the soft buttery sands of Costa Rica's Pacific Coast beaches. Hotel Pasatiempo is the perfect place that's tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Tamarindo. It feels like you're away from it all once you enter the property's borders. In fact, the hotel is only a few minutes away from the action in the center of town. That means shopping and nightlife are convenient and close, but they feel far away in this lush setting.

While you're staying at the hotel, you'll be able to get plenty of swimming and surf time at the iconic Playa Tamarindo beach. You can also splash around in the hotel's refreshing pool. If you're feeling really lazy, you can rock yourself to sleep in one of the hammocks around the property.

When you get hungry, you don't have to look very far to get satisfaction. Hotel Pasatiempo offers guests tasty culinary delights with its on-site restaurant, Monkey La-La. This casual eatery is situated right next to the pool. Guests can munch on breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day in a cool, tropical atmosphere complete with a thatched roof. On some nights of the week, you can check out the live music show. Or, you can take a break from the sun and sip on your favorite tropical cocktail in the comfort of the restaurant's shady terrace.

Many guests enjoy their days in the sun and sand of the Pacific Ocean nearby. At Hotel Pasatiempo, you can also schedule activity time to explore even more of this beautiful region of Costa Rica. The staff can help you choose the perfect activities for your trip, such as a day trip to neighboring country Nicaragua, a tour of an active volcano, a wildlife spotting expedition and more.

"Best service for a smaller hotel!!!!

You can stop looking if you like smaller casita type one story pool access rooms (24 units) in a great garden setting with your own front porch with chairs and room for your hammock.

Excellent food and fair prices to rival any in town.

The rooms are newely remodeled and very clean. the pool and palapa bar/restaurant are fantastic.

The owners and staff combine to proudly present their product with grace and a great sense of humor.

They can and do assist with all your travel needs from years of travel agent experience. Need a car or adventure tour, they book them right there for you. have a proplem and they are on the phone as your advocate to get the proper results with you in mind.

one of the best hotels anywhere that know customer service.

I felt like part of a fun family."

"Spent a terrific week at the Pasatiempo. The open-air bar is the center of social activity at the hotel. Food is served all day long. Prices are affordable. Staff is friendly and hard-working. Beer is cold, booze is full strength, there are always people there to talk to. Music night is Tuesday, when the Pasatiempo is the place to be in Tamarindo. Highly recommended for a visit or a stay."
