The rooms at Hotel Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort feature an eco-friendly energy system that runs on solar energy. The water heating system, which powers all rooms as well as the laundry and linen operations, uses solar energy panels. Rooms also have many amenities standard, including satellite TV, air conditioning and a refrigerator.
There are three villages: The Lagoon, the Tropicana and the Sunset. The Lagoon Village features a family-friendly pool shaped like a lagoon that is one of the most beautiful scenic pools in Costa Rica, as well as one of the largest. Around the pool sits pre-Columbian sculptures amidst the lush and tropical garden. The Tropicana Village is the place to go if you want some time away from kids, as it is an adults-only resort. There are a total of 240 rooms that feature electronic door locks, ceiling fans, air conditioning, free WiFi, telephone with free international calls, satellite TV on a flat-screen, refrigerator, electronic safe and a coffee / espresso maker. In the en-suite bathroom, guests have a complimentary amenity kit, hair dryer and a walk-in shower.
Guests can choose from four different categories of rooms within the three villages: Sunset (the beachfront village), Lagoon and Tropicana (which is across the Diria Grand Boulevard). Options include twin rooms, which feature two queen beds, or a double room, which has a king size bed.
Lagoon Poolview Rooms - In the Lagoon Village, you can book rooms with views of the family-friendly lagoon-shaped pool for which the village was named.
Tropicana Poolview Rooms - These adult only rooms provide views of the Tropicana pool. The Twin Rooms have two single beds rather than queen beds.
Tropicana Poolview Jr. Suite - This special suite on the third floor provides an elegant space with a large terrace from which to look out at the gardens and pool. It has one king size bed and a living area, as well as a desk and a wine cooler.
Sunset Standard Rooms - Located in the Sunset villages, these are only steps away from the beach on the ground floor.
Sunset Oceanview Rooms - Enjoy the panoramic ocean views from these beautiful rooms.

"Best beach front hotel in the city. Excellent meals and very clean rooms. Courteous / friendly staff. Ice machines located only on ground floor. Diria offers conds /apartments across the street from the beach , but -in my opinion, not as nice as the hotel.

"My wife & I stayed at Diria 4 years ago for 8 days. Beach front room on the right when facing the ocean. Excellent service with free breakfast.
Diria owns several apartments / condos across the street . We had friends check into those during our stay , but checked out and move Beach Side once they saw our rooms.
No elevator and ice maker only on ground floor. Absolutely the Nicest Place to Stay in Tamarindo. We are going back to Costa Rica in August but renting a 4 bedroom Villa on the beach @ Playa de Grande" | | |

"Our 1st floor Ocean view room was just what we were looking for.To wake up in the morning and sit outside with a cup of coffee, or in the evening watching the sunsets. The room was a little small but comfortable.The staff was friendly and courteous and tried their best to understand what you were asking . The grounds were kept very clean, and chairs were always available to relax in the sun or by the pool. The included breakfast was very good.The suggestions I would give are room service or coffee machines in the room.The restaurant service was slow and food was just alright. We had dinner most nights in town at a restaurant "Diego" told us about at the desk, thanks Diego. Since the sun is so hot a few umbrellas beachfront would be great.
