Nothing beats getting out into the Costa Rican countryside on a hiking expedition. The rugged landscapes of Costa Rica's many national parks and wildlife refuges are the perfect place for hiking enthusiasts to get away from it all and explore the stunning natural beauty of this amazing country. Whether you're an experienced hiker or just starting out, Costa Rica has something for you. Some nature reserves, like Chirripo National Park, boast trails that will test the endurance and stamina of even the most avid hiker. Others, such as Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve, offer gentler inclines that are ideal for a leisurely stroll through the jungle.

Many of Costa Rica's hiking trails offer you more than just a great workout. These rugged paths wind through some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, including verdant jungles with spectacular cascading waterfalls. I can't imagine a better way to get back to nature! On your travels, you'll also see many of the exotic creatures that inhabit the Costa Rican rainforests, including tropical birds, monkeys, reptiles and, of course, adorable amphibians like me!

So, why not put on your hiking boots and go exploring? While you're on your own tropical adventure, take some pictures and share them on our Facebook page!
