Barrio Amon
Limon is a fantastic province to explore as there are many amazing places to see and a wide variety of things to do out here. More than 25 % of the Caribbean Coast here is officially protected and with two national parks and a number of nature reserves and refuges to visit, it is no wonder that more and more tourists are now coming to tour this region of Costa Rica. Another interesting fact about Limon is its unique Afro-Caribbean culture, which can be seen in the south of the province, especially in places like Puerto Viejo de Talamanca.

If you interested in learning Spanish there are a few language schools in Limon. Registering in these schools to learn or brush up on your language skills is a good idea as a majority of the population living here speaks Spanish. There are a number of courses you can sign up for as well. Beginner classes, intermediate Spanish, business Spanish and advance courses are also available. Another benefit of signing up for a Spanish language course in Limon is that while you are studying here, you can enjoy the best this province has to offer.

Classes are held three to four times a week with breakfast and dinner included in your fees. If you like, you can stay at a home stay, which also gives you the opportunity to practice and learn new language skills. By staying with a Tico family, you can improve your Spanish conversational abilities and in turn become more confident while speaking the language. Private and shared accommodations are also on hand.

One of the best reasons to enroll in a language school in Limon is that during your study breaks you have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities. Visit the Tortuguero National Park, the Refugio Barra del Colorado and the Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Reserve or if you like there are plenty of diving, swimming, snorkeling and surfing opportunities as well. Additionally, there are several indigenous reserves in Limon, where you can tour and learn about these local communities.
