Drake Bay Beach
Limon is a superb province to vacation in. In the north, you will find the amazing national parks of Tortuguero and Barra del Colorado, while to the south lie some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. The Parque Nacional Tortuguero and the Refugio Nacional Barra del Colorado are both excellent places to visit and are rich in activities to enjoy. Kayaking/canoeing, hiking, wildlife watching and sport fishing are some of the many activities out here. In Southern Limon, there are plenty of good diving opportunities and lovely beaches, while the town of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca is a great destination to go party.

At the moment there are just a few game rooms, but no casinos in Limon. Plans though are now underway to construct more casinos in the province especially in places like Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, which offers the best nightlight in this part of the country. A touristy town that is more often then not packed with visitors, you can enjoy some good surfing, diving, snorkeling, swimming and rafting here as well. Once the sun sets in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca the many restaurants in town change into hip and happening places to party. Reggae music blares in the streets as locals and expats alike throng many bars to dance and have a good time.

Casinos are very popular all across Costa Rica and can mostly be found in most large cities like San Jose. Usually part of a hotel or resort, these casinos are not as big or as grand as those found in the US; rather they are smaller more informal places. The dress code for most casinos in Costa Rica is casual and neat, unlike in Las Vegas where some casinos require their guests to wear jackets or coats and no jeans. Minimum bets at the casinos are also quite low meaning that you find people from all walks of life at our card table. In Costa Rica, the least amount you are allowed to bet is 500 Colones.

Rummy is the most popular card game in the country and is played in most casinos. Akin to blackjack in some ways, rummy has its own set of Tico rules. Roulette and electronic slots are also popular casino games in Costa Rica as well.
