Blessed with warm sunny days and great beaches, the province of Guanacaste is the place to head for if you are interested in some fun in the sun. There are plenty of beaches found up and down the coast with a plethora of activities to enjoy from swimming and snorkeling to fishing, diving, surfing, horseback riding and wildlife watching. For those who want some peace and quiet, there are a number of remote beaches as well, which are the perfect places to lie back and relax.

If you ever get tired of the sun and wish to spend some time indoors, then head for the casinos in Guanacaste, which are located in most major hotels and resorts. The casinos here can be great fun, with a wide variety of games to indulge yourself in. From roulette to electronic slot machines and the Tico version of rummy called 21, there a numerous games to enjoy. The best part about visiting a casino here is that you have a relaxed dress code and the gaming area is fairly informal.

One thing that you need to remember is that most of the casino games in Costa Rica have there own rules and formulas. When you enter a casino, it is best to first learn how to play the game before you gamble big and lose. Playing in a casino is pretty inexpensive with minimum bets starting at 500 Colones only.

A great casino in Guanacaste worth visiting is the Paradisus Playa Conchal, on Playa Conchal. A gorgeous luxury resort with a fantastic golf course, the Paradisus has a casino on its premises as well. A short distance from Tamarindo, you can drive out here in 20 minutes. In the Playa del Coco area, the Hotel La Flor de Itabo Resort & Casino is a good place to go and gamble.

In Liberia, the Best Western El Sitio Hotel & Casino is a fun place to start your Guanacaste vacation, or you can also gamble at the casino at the Villas Playa Samara, Playa Samara.
