Nature Air Airplane

Situated in the north of the Osa Peninsula in the southern part of the Puntarenas province, Puerto Jimenez is a key town lying just before the northern entrance of the Corcovado National Park. Most often used as a base camp for tourists who wish to explore the peninsula and park premises, Puerto Jimenez is a great place with comfortable accommodations and excellent tour and adventure facilities.

To get to Puerto Jimenez, flying here is your best option as it takes roughly 8 to 9 hours to get here by road from San Jose. Both SANSA and Nature Air offer regular commercial flights to Puerto Jimenez, with an airline charter service Aero Taxi Alfa Romeo also providing private flights from here to any domestic airport in the country.

Five to six commercial flights land in Puerto Jimenez on a daily basis throughout the day, and do keep in mind that Nature Air flights leave from the Tobias Bolaños Airport in Pavas next to Downtown San Jose, while SANSA flights depart from the Juan Santamaria International Airport itself. Children under age two fly for free with both airlines, whereas children 12 and under, pay a half price ticket. SANSA has 3 daily flights, and Nature Air offers 4 flights per day here. If you wish to charter a plane from the Aero Taxi service, a two day advance booking is required.
