Entertainment in North Puntarenas

North Puntarenas offers a lot of recreational activities and entertainment. If you are interested in gambling in North Puntarenas, there are a number of casinos all across the province. In Puntarenas City, there are two good casinos worth playing at—the Tioga Hotel and the Hotel Yadrán. In Tambor on the Nicoya Peninsula, there is the Barcelo Playa Tambor. Along the Central Pacific Coast, casinos can be found at the towns of Manuel Antonio, Jaco, Quepos and Playa Herradura.

Restaurants in North Puntarenas

There are plenty of restaurants in North Puntarenas, many of which tend to be part of a hotel. There are numerous independent restaurants as well, which serve everything from pizza and burgers to the local delicacies. There are also some great sodas and local cafes that you should try out for a tasty yet inexpensive meal. Along the Central Pacific Coast, restaurants can be found almost anywhere along Highway 34. You will find both expensive and affordable places to eat at every turn. The seafood is extremely good in North Puntarenas. This is because the fish, crabs and lobsters are freshly caught by the local fishermen, who in turn immediately sell them to the eateries along the shore.

Bars in North Puntarenas

Bars can be found all over most of the cities and towns in North Puntarenas. You will find plenty of bars in Jaco, which is one of the main party towns. For a good time, La Bruja is a great bar in town with a mellow relaxing ambiance, however, for a more fun night out, La Hacienda is one of the most popular bars in the city. Fusion and Disco La Central offer some great dancing, while Onyx is one of the trendiest spots in town to be seen at. There are also a number of lively bars in Quepos for you to have a great night out. Mary Blues, Wacky Wanda’s and Hard Croc Café attract a more younger crowd, while to swamp some good fishing stories head to the El Gran Escape.

North Putnarenas Spas

In North Puntarenas, spas are found at many of the major hotels located along the Central Pacific Coast. Most of these hotels also offer plenty of recreational facilities such as tennis, horseback riding, and a variety of water sports. You can find them in Mal Pais and Santa Teresa area as well as at Tambor. Up north in Monteverde, you can enjoy the Mountain Hotels, which also have spas.
