Our central offices are in San José and we run rafting tours on the CHIRRIPO, PUERTO VIEJO, SARAPIQUI, and TORO rivers right out of the capital city.

We start our tours by picking up customers from their San José hotels and driving them in comfortable buses to the rivers that we raft. The trip takes us through the exuberant Braulio Carrillo National Park, which is highly known for its panoramic views and majestic flora. This park is known as one of the most complete in Costa Rica.

This drive is an essential part of our tour as we drive to the adjacent rivers northeast from the Park. If your final destination happens to be the Arenal volcano, we can arrange to transfer you to our other operational zone that is located near the skirts of the volcano.

We offer from San Jose:
1) CLASS III CHIRRIPO
2) SAFARI or FLOATING clase I
3) COMBO CANOPY and RAFTING
4) CLASS III RIVER CHIRRIPO

"I am a group organizer that has lived in Costa Rica for seven years. I manage approximately 500 persons per year. In the past four years we have been using the white water rafting provided to us by Aguas Bravas. Their treatment of me and those that I am hosting has been nothing less than superb! For the first several years we rafted the Sarapaqui River, However in the last two years we have been rafting the Chiripo. This river has proved to be as safe as the Sarapaqui, however, provides more fun for the participants and is closer to San Jose or Heredia out of which we operate. Aguas Bravas has knowledgable and friendly guides and has always provided us with an excellent trip! I encourage you to check them out for your next White water rafting trip in Costa Rica!"
