Find a Tour Company in Heredia

Arenal Volcano
Tour companies are a great way to see a country. They not only help you in arranging your trip, but they also help you plan out your vacation down to the very last detail so that you enjoy a hassle free getaway. A great option whether you are traveling alone, in a big group or with family, a tour company not only assists you in your travel and accommodation plans, but also helps you tour a country the best way possible so that you don’t miss a thing.

Heredia is a very naturally beautiful province and touring here is a real pleasure, especially if you are looking for some down time and wish to escape an urban lifestyle. Lush and green, there is plenty to see and do here, to keep one busy for days on end. A short distance from the capital San Jose, getting to Heredia is easy and touring this province is a wonderful way to spend a quiet few days.

There are a few tour companies in Heredia, which not only let you explore the province’s natural beauty, but also give you an insight into Tico culture. The famous Café Britt Tour is one of the most popular tours in the region and gives you deep appreciation for the way organic coffee is made in Costa Rica. Not only are you shown the entire lifecycle of a coffee bean, but you also get to sample the delicious brews available for sale out here.

A tour of the Braulio Carrillo National Park is great because as this often unexplored park has many wonderful treasures to discover. Climb the Volcan Barva inside the park or take the Rainforest Aerial Tram to get a bird’s eye view of the forest down below. Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui has some of the best whitewater rafting tours, while in the surrounding area you can explore the beautiful La Selva Biological Station or the private nature reserve of Rara Avis.

When choosing a tour company try and find one recognized by the Costa Rican Tourist Board, as this means that the company is a valid organization and meets quality standards. Opt for an entire guided itinerary, with private transportation and bilingual guides. If you are interested in adventure or ecotourism tours, look for a company that specializes in the kind of vacation you wish to have.
