Rainforest Adventures park is an expansive 475-hectare (1,200-acre) private ecology tours reserve in the Atlantic side of Costa Rica. Located just 50 miles from the capital city of San Jóse, it shares a 10 kilometer border with Braulio Carrillo National Park, and constitutes a buffer zone between the park and local farmland.

The Rain Forest Aerial Tram – Atlantic is a 475-hectare (1,200-acre) private reserve, located 50 minutes away from San José and 5 kilometers after the Río Sucio bridge on the Braulio Carrillo highway to Limón. This property shares a 10 kilometer border with Braulio Carrillo National Park and constitutes a buffer zone between the park and the neighboring farm lands.

An inspiring flight on the Aerial Tram gondolas. The standard tour includes unsurpassed evergreen forest views, narrated by an expert naturalist guide. Learn the secrets of the rainforest. Pathways lead into the forest for nature walks or hiking. An excellent option for families and groups.

Costa Rica Atlantic Birding Tour

Inspiration takes flight with our birding tour. Guides with special knowledge about the birds in our park lead the way. Ride the Aerial Tram to enjoy panoramic views and look at the canopy birds without straining your neck. Paved trails that allow placement of tripods and noiseless advancement. Bird list booklet included. Option to stay overnight in the Lodge for nocturnal specie observation.

Costa Rica Atlantic Serpentarium

In Costa Rica Atlantic’s open-air Serpentarium, deep in the forest, visitors get close looks of 20 species of snakes and reptiles. Learn about the “scariest” reptiles that call Costa Rica home.

Schedule: Tuesdays through Sundays from 6: 30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mondays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. due to weekly maintenance.

Costa Rica Atlantic Trekking Tour

Dense primary forest surrounds you on this trekking tour. Along the way there are small but difficult ascents, and at times a bit of mud adds to the adventure and challenge. The hike is demanding, but the rewards are fantastic.
