Where to Stay in San José

San Jose province is small in terms of size, but this region is the most populated with more than a million people. The transportation hub of the country, staying here allows you to get to wherever you need with little to no hassle. San Jose is a fantastic place for those who love the urban life. Here you can find anything you want with plenty of shopping centers, bars, clubs, restaurants, hotels, museums and colorful markets found all over the place. Just Outside of Downtown San Jose

If this part of San Jose gets too noisy for you then stay in Barrio Amón or Los Yoses, which are close enough to the downtown area but far away enough to ensure a good night’s sleep. If you are looking for some place more quiet then head into La Sabana, Escazu, Rohrmoser, San Pedro or San Antonio de Belen. These suburban areas are located just 15 to 20 minutes from downtown, but offer tourists with a more tranquil reprieve. Golfing in San Jose

There are also golf resorts in San Jose. Located in Santa Ana, one of the best golf resorts to play at is the Valley del Sol with its 18-hole par 72 course. If you are a more serious golfer then head on over to the Cariari Country Club and its beautiful 18-hole championship course located just outside of San Jose near the Juan Santamaria International Airport. Also, a great place for a business meeting and a quick game of golf is the Costa Rica Country Club, a short 9-hole course located in Escazu.
