Find a Golf Resort in Alajuela

The gorgeous province of Alajuela is a real treat for nature lovers as the landscape here is dotted with spectacular volcanoes that go on to form the Cordillera Central Mountain Range. The Volcan Arenal and the Volcan Poas are two of the most popular tourist destinations in the region, with travelers flocking here from all over to see the majestic beauty that they have to offer. Both active volcanoes, the Arenal puts on a fantastic fireworks display every night that is a must see for all who come to Costa Rica.

If you ever get tired of volcano watching, you can always play a great game of golf here. Set amidst some of the most stunning surroundings with the Volcan Arenal providing a dramatic backdrop, golfing in Alajuela is something special. Lush and green, the courses here are beautiful with many resorts also offering miniature golfing facilities as well.

For a great golfing experience visit the Ciudad Hacienda Los Reyes in La Guacima, Alajuela. This 9-hole golf course has a par 70 for men and a par 74 for women. A total length of 2,917 yards, there is also a separate putting green and a separate driving range to practice your short game on as well. The fairways here are excellent with the greens lush and well maintained.

If you like, you can also play a great game of miniature golf at the deluxe Occidental El Tucano Hotel in the San Carlos or Ciudad Quesada region. Located inside a private forest reserve in Aqua Caliente, this hotel sits just 45 minutes from the Volcan Arenal and is also very close to the incredible Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge. Equipped with all the modern conveniences and amenities, the mini-golf faculties at the El Tucano are very good and great fun for the entire family.

Some other golf resorts in Alajuela which offer good playing facilities on their premises include the Hotel Las Cabañitas Resort and the Hotel Eco Lodge Lake Coter, both of which are located in the Arenal region.
