Hammocks on Mal Pais Beach
With vast national parks to trek through, lush dense rainforests, awesome surf breaks and stunning beaches, Guanacaste province makes for a fantastic tourist destination. This region is one of the most visited in Costa Rica mainly because it has so much to offer in terms to activities to enjoy. And with a fantastic climate most of the year, Guanacaste is a great place to have some real fun in the sun.

If you plan on enjoying an extended vacation in Guanacaste with your family or friends, a good idea is to get a vacation rental. Vacation rentals are a great option as they are much cheaper to rent out over a longer period of time. The vacation rentals in Guanacaste are pretty good as most of them are located near or on the beaches, and come fully equipped with the necessary amenities to make your trip a more relaxed and hassle free one. Plus offering some truly breathtaking sunset vistas, vacation rentals in Guanacaste are the ideal choice for one and all.

Located up and down the Guanacaste coast, the rentals here range from the more modest to those that come with their own staff and all the latest housing luxuries. From homes and cottages to cabinas, condos and bed and breakfasts, a huge variety of vacation rentals can be found all over. Suiting nearly every kind of budget, it is a good idea to book your vacation rentals in advance as many estates come and go quickly off the market. If you are visiting Costa Rica between the months of December and April, it is highly recommended that you reserve your vacation rental while you are planning your trip.

Playa del Coco, Playa Ocotal, Tamarindo, Playa Negra, Playa Nosara and Playa Samara all have good vacation rentals options for you to choose from. Most of these accommodations are usually family-run businesses, while many of them are also owned by expatriates from the US, UK and Europe, who have chosen to retire in Costa Rica.

An excellent way to spend a few quiet days, leasing out a vacation rental is also a good plan if you are traveling with a large group of people. Not only will this minimize your travel expenses, but will also save you the worry of having to look around for suitable accommodations in Costa Rica.
