There are plenty of accommodations to choose from in Limon. If you plan on staying in Puerto Limon, the provincial capital, accommodations here are ideal for the budget traveler. There are lots of cheap hotels, motels and dorms available for rent. You can also find accommodations in and around the towns of Guapiles, Cariari, Guacimo and Siquirres.
For more upscale hotels and resorts head north of town to Moin, with some of the prettiest beaches in the area. Here you can also find a plethora of accommodations to choose from, with all inclusive resorts being a great rental option. Ideal for honeymooners as well as families, many of these resorts can be found throughout the province offering tourists some much needed seclusion and space. And with their own private beaches, on hand modern amenities and guided tours, these vacation getaways can be a real treat.
If you wish to visit the Tortuguero National Park, you can find plenty accommodations on the park premises itself ideally suited for those on a mid-range or budget vacation. There a number of vacation rentals and hotels in this area. Offering all-inclusive vacation packages, the rentals here are equipped with all the latest modern amenities. However, if you have an unlimited travel account then head north of the village to a number of all-inclusive ecolodges in the area. In the Barra del Colorado Refuge, there are a number of affordable lodges and cabins that can be found inside the park as well.
In southern Limon, you can find plenty of inexpensive hotels, resorts and cabins in the towns of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca and Cahuita. For more luxurious accommodations go east along the coast to come across a number of first rate hotels, cabinas, inns, villas, bungalows and lodges for rent. A few miles south of Puerto Viejo is the idyllic town of Manzanillo offering the ultimate getaway for those looking to escape more touristy locations. Meanwhile, the vacation rentals in Southern Limon are usually located along the seashore.
There are no golf resorts in Limon at the moment, however, the beach properties in the southern end of the province are in high demand, which means sooner or later you will find a golf resort out here. If you are looking to play a game of golf, your best bet is to enjoy the wonderful golf courses in San Jose, Heredia and North Puntarenas. Out here, swimming, snorkeling and diving are the most popular activities, along with enjoying the wonderful natural beauty to be found all around.
