Getting Around Guanacaste
While this province is large and offers a lot for tourists, it doesn’t have the best public transportation options for visitors. Traveling in Your Rental Car in Guanacaste
The roads in Guanacaste are in pretty good condition, except towards the southern end of the Nicoya Peninsula, where they tend to be just dirt tracks. A fabulous region to tour by car, renting a vehicle also means that you can avoid the more touristy beaches in favor of a more secluded retreat. If you are touring Guanacaste during the rainy season please be careful while driving here as the roads tend to get quite bad and potholes develop.
