Tin Jo

Conveniently located next to Don Wang's, Tin Jo is Costa Rica's only truly Pan-Asian restaurant. In addition to Chinese staples, the restaurant also serves a diverse range of Malaysian, Thai and Japanese dishes.

Tin Jo also offers guests a choice of several Indian meals, although these options are a little more limited that their Asian fare. The salt-and-pepper shrimp, beef teriyaki and Thai curries come highly recommended, according to Frommer's.

This restaurant can be found in La Sabana, just outside San Jose's downtown district. Don't let its simple facade fool you - this eatery serves some of the best Chinese food anywhere in Costa Rica. The establishment is known for its fast, efficient service and reasonable prices, and specialties like the sizzling rice are not to be missed. Flor de Loto tends to get crowded on weekends, so make sure you plan ahead!
