As a beachfront resort along the shores of the Pacific Ocean, Best Western Jaco Beach is luxury I couldn't pass up! This is one of my favorite places to stretch out my little froggy legs and soak up the gorgeous vistas in a relaxing tropical atmosphere. This eco-friendly hotel has an abundance of outdoor activities and local attractions nearby. Located in the Central Pacific of Costa Rica in Jaco, the resort sits just 100 kilometers away from San Jose.
My favorite part of the vacation package is that it's all-inclusive. We're talking unlimited food and drinks as you kick back in the chairs on the beach. It's a daydream come true! Plus, all of its 125 guest rooms feature wireless internet and cable television. What more could a tree frog (or human) ask for?

The location of Best Western Jaco Beach is the shining star of its allure. As its name suggests, it lies right on the beach. If you're partial to an exciting day along the shores, this is the place for you. The hotel has recently done renovations, so expect high quality rooms and facilities, which offer air conditioning, room service, laundry and dry cleaning services, unlimited beverages and cocktails and free international calls.

Besides, the staff is very friendly and accommodating - they always let me cool off in the lobby when I'm in the area. The building has three floors. For those who are using
rental cars, there is secure on-site parking.
Let's not forget about the on-site El Puerto Restaurant and El Muelle beachfront bar. From 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., you can take advantage of all the food and drink you desire. I can always find more than enough to fill by tiny tummy, but there is plenty for event the biggest eaters. There are lunch and dinner buffets that feed the whole family.

Stretching 4 kilometers, Jaco Beach offers world-class surfing. I see a lot of families enjoy the shores here, which is a distinct dark sand. If you like to hang ten like I do, you'll find the breakers at Jaco Beach to be worth a visit alone. It has a stretch of dark sand with distinctly different surf breaks. From my experience, the best waves usually occur in the late afternoon in the hours right before sunset.
Activities
When I've had enough of the beach, I love exploring all of the other great attractions that Jaco Beach has! Some humans tend to lie on the sand all day, but that can get "sand in their suit" as I've heard them say. If you're mainly looking for a tan, you can get out the baby oil and relax by the pool! Volleyball and tennis courts are perfect for days when I'm feeling a little competitive.

Beyond the on-site accommodations, Best Western is located close to a variety of fun locales, including some of my friend's homes! Embark on a canopy tour, get in your shopping fix in the town of Jaco or go on hikes at Carara National Park. One adventure in particular that visitors rave about is the Tarcoles crocodile safaris - I'm a little too chicken to get up close to these giant reptiles, some of which reach to 4 meters. If that sounds like a bit too much adrenaline for you, the bird watching tours are also great here. You'll spot more than 50 bird species, including the mangrove hummingbird, crane fly and many more.
